Autumn Rustic Wedding at Colstoun House | Kristy + Richard
Rustic style wedding venue, Scotland
One of last weddings I photographed in 2017 was Kristy & Richard’s wedding in East Lothian. Australian bride & Scottish groom have been planning their wedding while living together in London. I photographed Spring and Summer weddings at Colstoun before and was looking forward to visiting the venue in the Autumn. It was warm & sunny on the day and late wedding ceremony took place by the river, under a big red tree. Kristy & Richard exclaimed their vows in front of Autumn inspired floral arch made by Snapdragon florists and it couldn’t be more beautiful. Wedding guests were enjoying an outdoor drinks reception by the fire pit while I could take an advantage of taking wedding photos in the best Autumnal light I could imagine. In fact, it’s always sunny whenever I photograph weddings at this venue.
Relaxed wedding photos
As a wedding photographer I love barn, rustic style weddings but more important are people who come to enjoy celebrations. Kristy is from Australia and there were lots of family and friends who traveled a long way to take part in the wedding. You could not choose a better place than Scottish countryside to get two families together.
Rustic style tables were decorated with wild flowers and ivy. Charlotte, one of the bridesmaids, took care of making the cake.  Bride looked amazing wearing wild flower crown and dress from Watters and there was a beautiful humanist wedding ceremony with unexpected showers at the end.
