2019 Best Wedding Photos – Annual Review

Hello 2020!

Last year has been special. So many amazing couples trusted me to be their wedding photographer. From the Scottish Borders to Skye, I photographed weddings in churches and barns, family gardens, tipis and marquees, and even in the whisky distillery. I feel pretty nostalgic looking at last year’s photos and waiting what 2020 brings.

Here is my 2019 wedding season in pictures.

Spring

Natalie & Donald’s had an elegant wedding at Boclair House; what a venue. Katrina & Andrew’s rustic celebrations at Pratis Barns were sweet. I always enjoy working there. Sarah & Toby traveled from Australia to Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh. I loved Sarah’s dress!Hannah & Chris got married in Haddington. Yes, I worked there 3 times this year!

Lindsay & Evan eloped to Edinburgh from the US. It was so hot when we were hiking to the chapel for the ceremony! Rosie & Tom’s family garden was a great place for a wedding. Same for Isla & Tim who organised a very relaxed day with duck racing and cute wedding yurt.

Summer

Mailys & Liam tied the knot at the National Mining Museum in Newtongrange. This one is local to me so I enjoyed working as a wedding photographer! Emma & Daniel had polytunnel wedding ceremony. Carla & Scott’s diy wedding took place at a new venue, Lewinshope in the Scottish Borders. Cate & Jonny said ‘I do’ at Cambo Estate. Amy & Iain celebrated their wedding at Carlowrie Castle. Ainslie & Craig had a beautiful destination wedding at Cluny Castle with family and friends from all over the UK.

Ruth & Alex had Papakata marquee on their day, something different. Dogs were present as well. Isis & Hippo traveled from France to Altamount Manor. Nicola & Scott celebrated with their families at Glenskirlie. Melanie & Cody travelled all the way from the US to celebrate at Culzean Castle.

Autumn weddings

Deborah & Calum walked down the aisle at Rosslyn Chapel. Jenny & Ross had an outdoor ceremony at the Barony Castle. Morven & Stuart tied the knot at Lindores Abbey Distillery. Sara & Derek eloped to Melville Castle. Rex & Brittany traveled from the US for their wedding in East Lothian. Harriet & Matt got married at the Signet Library.

Katrina & Nick had  Megan & Peter’s vintage style marriage at House of an Art Lover. Daniela & Max asked me for a honeymoon photoshoot in Glencoe – we saw deer and rainbow! And lastly, Katie & Alec joined me for an adventure in Isle of Skye – it was a perfect finale of the wedding season.
